Sharon MTC in Palarivattom, is a local Parish unit of the Malankara Mar Thoma Syrian Church of Kochi-Ernakulam-Aluva Centre of Kottayam-Kochi Diocese.Started in 1979 with the initiative of an 11-member committee headed by Rev D Alexander as a small parish in a plot of 45 cents of land near the Power House Road, Palarivattom, it has steadily grown to its present status as the leading Mar Thoma parish in Greater Cochin.
